"The world is not a lodging-house at Brighton, which we are to leave because it is miserable. It is the fortress of our family, with the flag flying on the turret, and the more miserable it is the less we should leave it."
-G. K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
This here blog is a glimpse or two or three at the condition of the 'fortress of our family' through the eyes Timothy Goddard, a Christian writer with an unhealthy interest in politics living in the Puget Sound area.
The ticking is over It is, as they say, go time. We're done with the Security Council. The fight is now on our terms, no one else's. Tonight, Bush will demand that Saddam leave, or face war. I am curious as to whether Saddam will futz around for a while and try to play Bush like he's played the rest of the world, or if he'll just flat out refuse--but it will be one of those. He won't leave, and we'll have war. I predict early Wednesday morning, Iraq time.
May God protect our troops, may God protect the Iraqi people, and may God protect America.
