The Flag of the World

-G. K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy

Advance science!
In the process of doing research for my research proposal which is due far too soon, I stumbled across Genome@home, a project by Stanford University to use computers all around the world to design new proteins from scratch, similar to what Berkley's remarkably frivolous SETI@home is doing. This is very cool, not only because it's doing good, solid, very exciting science, but because you actually get to see what it is your computer has been working on. I'm downloading it right now, and I think you should too.
