"The world is not a lodging-house at Brighton, which we are to leave because it is miserable. It is the fortress of our family, with the flag flying on the turret, and the more miserable it is the less we should leave it."
-G. K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
This here blog is a glimpse or two or three at the condition of the 'fortress of our family' through the eyes Timothy Goddard, a Christian writer with an unhealthy interest in politics living in the Puget Sound area.
Behold, the power of words 2
I said a week ago that John Kerry was supremely foolish to have used the words "flip-flop" in defending himself against charges that he... well, flip-flops. Today, the Republican National Committee has proved my point in a damning video that demonstrates--via John Kerry's own words--that he has held every concievable position on both Iraq wars. And their clincher, the final segment that ties it all up neatly? Kerry insisting "That's not a flip-flip, that's not a flip-flop," and the overlay that practically writes itself: "Oh really?"
Kerry assures us all that he is not a crook either, and he did not have sexual relations with that woman.
