"The world is not a lodging-house at Brighton, which we are to leave because it is miserable. It is the fortress of our family, with the flag flying on the turret, and the more miserable it is the less we should leave it."
-G. K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
This here blog is a glimpse or two or three at the condition of the 'fortress of our family' through the eyes Timothy Goddard, a Christian writer with an unhealthy interest in politics living in the Puget Sound area.
Yesterday my soon-to-be bride and I attended the first-ever Western Washington Blognic. It was a good time. I didn't have a chance to meet everyone I would have liked to, but I did meet quite a few engaging people. Host and proginator of the whole shindig Stefan Sharkansky has an overview of the event, as does Brian Crouch and Ambra Nykol.
Just like the last time I attended a blog-related get-together, I completely forgot my digital camera, for which Miss Nykol is apparently very grateful. That soothes my annoyance at having forgotten it yet again.
