"The world is not a lodging-house at Brighton, which we are to leave because it is miserable. It is the fortress of our family, with the flag flying on the turret, and the more miserable it is the less we should leave it."
-G. K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
This here blog is a glimpse or two or three at the condition of the 'fortress of our family' through the eyes Timothy Goddard, a Christian writer with an unhealthy interest in politics living in the Puget Sound area.
I never thought I'd see this day
Do my eyes decieve me? Seahawks a superbowl pick? If the Seahawks can be a legitimate condender this year, then perhaps the Washington State Republican Party, another of the state's long-time losers, can get its act together as well.
UPDATE: Looking at this poll, things don't look too shabby for the R's at all. Bush is within the margin of error(!), and the trend is overwhelmingly in his direction. Observe, too, how much more respected Dick Cheney(!) is than John Edwards, and that Kerry's favorable/unfavorable ratings are split down the middle. Miracles can happen, baby.
